"What do you see?"Here is an idea I found to use in my class. Add rice to a jar and then add small items. Follow a theme like seasons, holidays, animals, etc.... or add foam letters, try to find the alphabet letters in order and cross them off your list! Oooo....just had a thought, add small photos of family members and find grandpa!
